Restaurant
Hotel Altamira
The restaurant will be closed since October until March.
Our restaurant is a classic of the regional Cantabrian cuisine with more than 40 years of career. It provides three dining halls in sync with the decoration of the rest of the building and its wooden beam and stone walls stand out.
The menu of the restaurant consists mainly of typical dishes of the Cantabrian gastronomy, such as the typical stews of the area (highland stew or lebaniego stew), grass-fed meats, Cantabrian fishes, homemade desserts… without forgetting dishes from the national and international cuisine.
The dining hall “Cantón” has its entrance through the hotel without the need of leaving it for our hosts’ comfort, or through the main street of Santillana for those that are not staying at the hotel, called Cantón that leads us only 200 metres away from the Real Street and the Insigne Colegiata of Santa Juliana. We have another dining hall called “Racial”, which has its entrance through the terrace of the hotel, located at the main square, spot of reunion and reference in Santillana. In this main square there are emblematic buildings like the Fundación Santillana, the Torre del Merino, La casa del águila y la parra and the casa consistorial.
